EzLicence provides you with maximum control and flexibility over your calendar. The platform assists you to streamline your booking management, allowing you to effortlessly keep your calendar up to date and communicate with your learners for an all-round smooth booking experience.
Below are our top tips to ensure the best outcome for you and your learner when you need to reschedule a booking:
- The more notice the better - learners will be more flexible if notified in advance of an issue with their booking.
- Make contact with the learner - it is always best to discuss rescheduling directly with your learner so you can make the new booking at a mutually convenient time. This also gives you the opportunity to let the learner know the legitimate reason for rescheduling, which can make for a much better experience.
- Minimise the impact - rescheduling on the same learner multiple times can be a point of frustration, choose wisely.
- Avoid a learner’s first booking - a learner’s first driving lesson is a big milestone! Learning to drive is both exciting and daunting, rescheduling a learners first lesson before you have established a relationship with them can impact their decision to continue with you or change instructors.
You can reschedule a booking from a number of places in your EzLicence account - upcoming bookings, learner menu or your calendar. The process is the same from each place.
You can reschedule a booking any time before a booking start time.

How to reschedule a booking from your calendar
Step 1.
Log in to your instructor account.
Step 2.
From the menu, select Calendar
Step 3.
Locate and click on the booking you wish to reschedule
Step 4.
From the Booking details, click Modify Booking a drop down menu will appear
Step 5.
From the drop down menu, select Reschedule booking
Step 6.
The Reschedule Booking screen will appear, there is a x Discard Changes button at the top if required. Below this the current booking crossed out and marked as cancelled, this action will only occur once this process is completed.
Step 7.
Scroll down to view the new booking information, select the new date and time from the drop down menu. If required, you can also change the pickup location
Step 8.
Click the Propose Booking button.
Step 9.
The original booking will now be cancelled and removed from your calendar. The new proposed booking will be visible.
Important
Using the reschedule feature will remove the original booking from your calendar and a proposed booking will be sent to your learner via email and SMS. The booking proposal will expire at the booking start time OR 24 hours after it was sent, whichever comes first. For further information on proposed bookings, click here.
