Cancel and remove an existing booking from your calendar.
Overview:
Unfortunately, there are times when you need to cancel a booking and in some instances, you are unsure of your future availability and are not able to reschedule instead of cancelling. Whilst we don't encourage you to cancel your learner's bookings, there are some situations which can't be avoided, some examples are:
- You are unwell and are unsure when you will return to work
- There is a family emergency
- Your car has been damaged or has unexpected mechanical issues
The #1 cause of poor instructor reviews is the handling of cancellations. Before cancelling a booking, we strongly recommend you make contact with your learner to discuss it with them and reschedule the lesson instead of cancelling.
There are a number of places you can cancel a booking - upcoming bookings, Learner menu or your calendar, the process is the same from each place. You can cancel a booking any time before a booking start time.
Please note that all cancellations will contribute to the cancellation rate displayed on your dashboard. For further information, please refer to our support article - How your cancellation rate is calculated.

How to cancel a booking from your calendar
Step 1.
Log in to your instructor account.
Step 2.
From the menu, select Calendar
Step 3.
Locate and click on the booking you wish to cancel.
Step 4.
From the Booking details, click Modify Booking a drop down menu will appear
Step 5.
From the drop down menu, select Cancel without new booking
Step 6.
A Cancel Booking notification will appear. Using the dropdown, select a Reason for cancellation.
Step 7.
In the text box below, type a Message for Learner. Take a moment to re-read your message as this cannot be undone.
Step 8.
Check the box next to "I understand and agree to the Cancellation Policy"
Step 9.
Click Cancel Booking. This action cannot be reversed. You have now removed the booking from your calendar and your learner has received a notification.
Step 10.

Important
Cancelling the booking will immediately return a booking credit to the learner account, ready to rebook.
There are some situations where the learner needs their booking as soon as possible and you may not be available. If needed, please refer your learner to the step-by-step instructions on how to change instructors.
