Cancel a booking with your driving instructor less than 48 hours beforehand
Overview:
Unfortunately, there are times when you need to cancel a booking at the last minute, some situations can't be avoided. Some examples are:
- You are unwell
- Someone in your immediate family is unwell and you need to provide care
- You’ve been called into work
If you are cancelling within 48 hours of the booking start time, your cancellation will count as a late cancellation and you will be charged the full booking fee, to compensate your instructor for lost income and time.
How to request a late cancellation with your instructor (Less than 48 hrs)
Step 1.
Log in to your learner account.
Step 2.
On your Dashboard, under Upcoming Bookings, click View/Manage button next to the booking you wish to cancel.
Step 3.
Click Modify Booking.
Step 4.
Click Cancel (Late Cancellation).
Step 5.
A confirmation box will appear advising you of the late cancellation and that cancellation fees apply.
Step 6.
Click Reason for cancellation and select the appropriate option.
Step 7.
In the text box, type a message for your driving instructor providing any additional information.
Step 8.
Check the box next to "I understand and agree to the Cancellation Policy".
Step 9.
Click Cancel Booking.
Step 10.
You will be taken back to your Dashboard, where your booking will be displayed under Booking History. The status will be marked as Late Cancellation and Payment marked as Processed.
Important
During the cancellation process, you will be asked to provide a reason for the cancellation which will be shared with your driving instructor. Where applicable, your driving instructor has 30 days to reverse this cancellation fee.
If a payment is reversed by your driving instructor, you will be notified via email. The booking history will then show the payment status as Reversed.
